The brief for this guide was to provide a comprehensive student guide for all new First year students. It was designed to appeal to both UK, European and international students so keeping language accessible for all levels of English speaker was crucial. The booklet needed to contain general advice domestic advice for student life, as well as practical advice on beginning university. As a promotional item for new students, having a fun, engaging and easy-to-read tone was key to hold the audience’s attention.
